Had to forego four films for 'Bachchan': Parul

Chennai, Mar 27 (IANS): For her role in upcoming Kannada revenge saga "Bachchan", in which she sports three different looks, actress Parul Yadav had to forego four films. However, she has no regrets.

"I know it was a hard decision to make, but my producer was very particular that I dedicate myself completely to the project. I had to sacrifice about four films, but I don't regret it because I needed the time for the project to pull off the challenging role," Parul told IANS.

"I play a possessive character called Anjali with shades of grey. I play childhood sweetheart of the hero and I don't like anybody looking at him. I'm very rebellious. I also get to portray three different looks for the same character," she added.

She is paired with superstar Kiccha Sudeep in the film, which also features Tulip Joshi, Bhavana, Ravi Shankar, Ashish Vidyarthi and Pradeep Rawat.

"Bachcan" is directed by Shashank, while Uday Mehta has produced it. It has music by V. Harikrishna.

The film, coming out April 11, is currently in post-production phase.

Parul says even though Kannada is her first preference, she would also like to diversify to other language films.

In fact, when she turned down films for the sake of "Bachchan", people started saying "I have an attitude problem".

"But, that's not the truth because even though I would like to be loyal to Kannada industry since I debuted here, I would also like to act in films in other languages," she said.

"Now that I'm done with the film, I have begun listening to scripts in other languages. Very soon I will sign a new film," she added.
