Mangalorean Abdul Latheef (37) dies in Riyadh

Riyadh, Mar 29:
Abdul Latheef Mulki, aged about 37, died at his apartment in Riyadh at around 9.30 am on March 27, due to severe heart attack.

It is informed that he was alone in his apartment and had spoken to his friend over mobile phone just about an hour before his death. It is said he told his friend that he would meet him after an hour. But, when his friend tried to contact Latheef several times, he got no response. His elder brother, Hussain, who is staying in Al-Khobar, also made a several attempts to contact him, but was unsuccessful.

Finally, the police rushed to his apartment upon the information given by his friends and broke open the door, which was latched from the inside. When the police entered into the room, he was lying on the bed motionless and was confirmed dead due to massive cardiac attack.
 
According to the family sources, he was healthy without any previous medical condition although he was built heavily. The body is kept in the mortuary at Somaishi Hospital awaiting legal formalities. The authorization letter and affidavit from his wife and parents in India are also required to collect and bury the remains in the Kingdom.
 
The deceased had been working in Saudi Arabia since 15 years in various companies, presently working for MarconSaudi Company in Riyadh. He was the third son of N M Putthabba, who originally hails from Mulky and currently residing at Attavar in Mangalore. He is survived by his wife and a baby girl, parents, two brothers and a sister. A number of friends and well-wishers, upon receiving the death news, gathered near the hospital for visiting the departed soul and expressed their deep commiseration on the sudden death of Latheef.
