The main reason for the accidents is the lack of synchronization in the developments in vehicles and in the roads. Now a days all the cars are capable of getting a speed of 120 - 140 without straining the engine much. However our roads are not not developed to support this speed. If you see any other developed country like US, Europe and Middle East, they have good roads and good vehicles, and less accidents.

In Mangalore city limits, when I travel in auto rickshaw, some drivers are very rash and careless, I do tell them to drive carefully, slowly, follow the rules.

The firm word of the passengers in the Ambika hired car, could have avoided the accident. Might be the passengers also advised the driver to drive fast. Never know.

Heartfelt condolenses to the bereaved members of the family, May the soul of Rajesh Acharya his son Sharanu rest in peace.

I pray god to give strength and courage to the bereaved Family.
That stretch of Highway is not fit for post-independence era. Now everybody has vehicles. We have everything on road except Train, ship and plane. However much precaution we take, these accidents bound to happen being at wrong place and wrong time.
Some of the ption to curb these accidents would be
    1. Make double roads and have a devider so that no danger when overtaking.
    2. Place speed limit boards everywhere and punish (cancel the permit) those who over speed.
    3. Stop drink and drive.
    4. I agree with Bollu. Take enough rest. Revive every two hours of drive and survive.
    5. Wear seatbelts or helmets.
    6. Keep the vehicles in good condition like good breaks and Good tyres.
    7. Do not use use cellphones or earplugs while driving.
    8. Do not indulge in road rage. If someone overtakes you, just let them be. Only you can protect your life and the life of those riding with you.
    9. Keep a safe distance between vehicle infront of you. Follow 3 second rule.
    10. Have fun driving not the crazy and reckless driving.

You are right, No value to own life or others life. Looking excuse in name of the God. Indian driving is suicidal every time they are on the road as their last drive.

Now the roads are much more improved, and high speed vehicle's are made their way.People need to be more careful, especially two wheeler users should take maximum care,I have seen many people losing their life in two wheeler because of not following traffic rules and riding in their own way."Accident do happen but you should not be the cause of it" If we follow this we can avoid many accidents and save many lives.

RAJESH UDUPI,JOSSEY MUMBAI, IN ANY ACCIDENT WHO IS RIGHT AND WHO IS WRONG IS IMMATERIAL,BUT HOW THE ACCIDENT COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED AND LIFE COULD HAVE BEEN SAVED IS IMPORTENT.SAD PART IS ON ANY ROADS THE MOTOR-RIDERS DONT KNOW IN WHICH TRACK AND LANE THEY HAVE TO DRIVE.IN THE HIGHWAYS IN A HIGH SPEED MOVEMENT OF VEHICLES SPECIALLY FOUR WHEELERS,THE TWO WHEELERS SHOULD BE MORE CAREFUL.INSTED OF BLAMING RTO OR POLICE LET US BE MORE CAREFUL.LET US NOT DRIVE AS IF IT IS OUR LAST DRIVE BECAUSE OUR LIFE AND OTHERS LIFE IS VERY PRECIOUS.MONEY CAN PURCHASE VEHICLE BUT NOT LIFE...

Looking at the pictures this looks like a head on collision and one of the vehicle was for sure on the wrong side of the road which most probably must be the two wheeler, in fact I have witnessed so many two wheelers riding on the wrong side of the road to save few minutes...!

Very sad incident. I agree with you Mr. Ummmar. Problem of defective roadway infrastructure is the main reason for accident. How is responsible for this? Even in Mangalore city, two wheeler drivers meet with accidents due to large pits on the road.

very tragic accident in front of my eyes.non completion of 4-lane road main reason for this accident. In some area roads are completed and vehicles using as one way. but unexpectedly some vehicles coming from opposite direction. This is all leading to accident. This is all my self experience during this short vacation.
May departed souls rest in peace.

Precious lives are lost due to reckless driving.
Drive at a speed which doesn't kill others.
All these New Fast Cars must be fitted with speed governors to limit the speed to 70KM on high ways.Owners themselves must do it.
We can not rely on RTO/Traffic police for stricter rules who are neck deep in corruption

Its really sad to hear this news and can't imagine the suffering the family is going through at this moment and hope they get strength to go through the pain.
But sorry I cant agree that death is in Gods hands because evidence doesn't show that. Statistics shows in India nearly 5 lakh people died last year because of accidents, whereas in UK just over 3,000 people died. Even if you consider the size of the population India has more than 10 times the death compared to UK. But India has more God s than anywhere in the world and more people praying to gods than anywhere else in the world.
Dont you think the powerful god who created everything like the earth , humans and more millions of other species on land and sea could have easily avoided this accident?
I dont have problem with people praying to god,but I do have problem people leaving evrything to god and driving like maniacs on our roads.
If it was in a western country the kid woudnt have been legally allowed to travel in the 2 wheeler in the first place. There is no point blaming the family but at least we need to get changes to out system ,otherwise it will be too late.
Sorry if I have hurt you religious people, but truth hurts always !

    Cause of Accident..
    - Driver from other states don't able to judge roads...
    - Due to No sleep..
    - Over-speeding to reach destination quickly..

Another Reason also is , people inside the car do not tell the driver to slow down or drive properly .
