Nathan Sykes post surgery performance lauded


London, Jun 11 (IANS): Singer Nathan Sykes performed on stage for the first time after going through a critical throat surgery in April. His entire team lauded his efforts.

Sykes, member of The Wanted band, was not allowed to sing after the surgery and their were speculations if he could ever continue singing or not.

However, the 20-year-old singer joined the rest of his band members Max George, Siva Kaneswaran and Tom Parker, Sunday at the Summertime Ball Festival here, reports eonline.com.

The band's manager Scooter Braun praised Sykes' performance on Twitter and wrote: "Nathan I'm very proud of you. You worked hard and that was an amazing surprise and ridiculous solo!! Well done."

George also took to the microblogging site and wrote: "Nathan is back. Love you mate! welcome back."

Humbled by the response to his performance, Sykes showed his gratitude by saying: "Thanks for all the love today. Really put a smile on my face."
