Mumbai, Jan 16: While All India Konkani Parishad (AIKP) is at the threshold of celebrating 25th Silver Jubilee Adhiveshan, the Vishwa Konkani Parishad (VKP) has given an open letter to the various authorities to dismantle it(AIKP). The letter signed by its President Eric Ozario and its executive secretary Tomazinho Cardozo claim that
AIKP is not even a registered body and it has not even held any general body as per law. It has only remained as an exclusive club of three inactive organisations and one name board organisation.

They have also complained that the parishad is not managed to have an office of its own inspite of collecting lakhs of rupees during its Adhiveshans. Also the same old people preside over its procedings, same issues discussed, same resolutions passed and they are forgotten. They have caused irreparable damage to the unity of Konkani by adopting a retrograde facist policy of "One lipi, one sahitya and one samaj"

Their major accusation is that the AIKP, through its manipulative politics has attempted to impose one variety (the Devnagari lipi) on all others - (a) at the Sahitya Akademi level (b) at the Goan Government level (c) at the other State Governments level (specially Karnataka - by flashing its 'All-India' name board).
