Bali, Oct 6 (IANS): Indonesia, the host for this year's Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit, has tightened security on Bali Island, where the two-day summit will be held from Monday, as more leaders arrived.

About 4,924 policemen, including intelligence officers and the special counter-terrorism squad, were deployed to safeguard this major international event, reports Xinhua.
