Mumbai: Alva's Vishwa Nudisiri Virasat from Dec 19 to 22

Mumbai, Oct 9: “Alva's Nudisiri, the national cultural extravaganza that has been organized by Alva's Education Foundation completes ten years, while Alva's Virasat is at the threshold of completing 20 years.  Meanwhile, the foundation has planned to combine both into Alva's Vishwa Nudisiri Virasat, in order to get global patronage at Moodbidri, Dakshina Kannada district of Karnataka from December 19 to December 22. About 10 lac people from across the world are likely to witness the cultural extravaganza of global countries,” said Alva's Education Foundation chairman Dr M Mohan Alva.

Addressing the media persons at Peninsula Grand Hotel, Sakinaka, Andheri (East) here on Tuesday October 8, Dr Alva explained about the forthcoming Alva's Vishwa Nudisiri Virasat.

“The participation of Tulu – Kannadiga natives settled in metro is essential to attend the forthcoming Alva's Vishwa Nudisiri Virasat, because Virasat the cultural extravaganza of classical and folk-art, all those who are beauty conscious had to view in order to enjoy the real beauty.  It is also focused on youth to motivate them to take interest in Indian cultural arts. There will three divisions – Indian agrarian-based cultural shows, folk-art display and for the youth community. Ten different stages will be erected in 100 acre plot and variety cultural programmes will be held through the night every day. A minimum of 40 to 60,000 people from all over the world are likely to stay in the town, in order to attend four-day cultural extravaganza.  Local audience of over 2 lac is expected to attend the programme.  The target has been set for 10 lac audience.  This year’s theme will be, Kannada in the past, now and in the future,” explained Dr Alva.

“Tulu – Kannada may be regional languages, but it is not limited to a district or state, instead it’s growing worldwide.  At this backdrop, the introspections were held in state level, national and international level during the four-day mega extravaganza that play key role in sustaining regional and national cultural hierarchy.  About 67 organizations are striving in Dubai to sustain native language, culture and traditions. There are innumerable organizations in metro that are working in this regard, which are not even done in motherland Karnataka. The unity of Mumbaikars, love towards native culture would further strengthen their quest for sustenance.  I invite all Mumbaikars to attend this mega show,” said Dr Alva.

Karnire Vishwanat Shetty, Shivaram G Shetty, Chandrashekar Palettady, Goutam Shetty among others were present on the occasion.
