KJP leader SN Eshwar killed in road accident


Davangere, Oct 18 : Karnataka Janata Party (KJP) leader S N Eshwar died on the spot and six were injured, when the SUV in which they were travelling collided head on with a goods vehicle on National Highway-4, near Haraganahalli Cross in Harihar taluk on Thursday morning. 


Eshwar was the State treasurer and the Bangalore district unit chief of the party. The injured – Chetan, Kirankumar, Ravikumar, Arunkumar, Veerabhadra and Renukaradhya – have been admitted to a private hospital for treatment. They were all on their way to Hubli to participate in the party workers’ convention. KJP president B S Yeddyurappa, former minister Shobha Karandlaje and Davangere MP G M Siddeshwar visited the spot and met the injured in the hospital. Harihar Rural police have registered a case.

    If more ministers and "public" figures die like this in accidents, probably then the Govt. will wake up and realize that it is not just the poor and ordinary middle class that die due to their lousy public infrastructure. I only shed tears for ordinary folks.

    Desouza, what you write is rubbish, the death resulted not because of lack of infrastructure, 'cause of collision. Do not write something for the purpose of writing.
