'The Hunger Games' - the turning point in Lawrence's career

New Delhi, Nov 25 (IANS): Academy Award winning actress Jennifer Lawrence says that “The Hunger Games” changed her career path.

Prior to "The Hunger Games", the 23-year-old's work in independent movie "Winter’s Bone" was appreciated and she was content with it.

"I started out in indies and I always imagined myself being in smaller movies for the rest of my career. Then ‘The Hunger Games’ came along and I was in a big pickle. I would have done it in a heartbeat if it were an indie, but it was giant! I had to take a few days to think about it,” Lawrence said in a statement.

“It took everything to a different place than I could have never imagined. And the Oscar did wonderful things for my career. I'm just rolling with it,” she added.

Lawrence, who won an Oscar award for her work in “Silver Linings Playbook”, will be seen in sci-fi adventure movie "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire".

It is set to release in India Dec 6 in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
