I wanted to be hairdresser: Mary J. Blige

Los Angeles, Nov 27 (IANS): American singer- songwriter Mary J. Blige says she would have become a hairdresser if she was not famous.

The 42-year-old singer admits she would have pursued a career in a hair salon if she hadn't become successful within the music field because she was good at styling hair when she was a youngster, reports contactmusic.com.

''If this hadn't happened to me, I liked doing hair a lot when I was young. I was the hairstylist for my friends and my neighbours and I was good at it,” she said.
