Kapil, who has been reported to be nominated along with Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan anf Farhan Akhtar for CNN IBN'c Indian of the Year in the field of entertainment, expressed his sincere gratitude to God and his fans for making all of this possible. He posted this statement on his twitter account.

Kapil had recently been in the news for people speculated the unexpected exit of Sunil Grover aka 'Gutthi' from his show, 'Comedy Nights with Kapil'. While some believed there were professional differences between the two comedians, other believed that Sunil wanted an increase in his pay packet. Kapil cleared the rumours by saying recently that Sunil had left the show as he had been offered another one and that Kapil had requested his fellow comedian to reconsider the move as their show was at its peak and the character portrayed by Sunil had become hugely popular. Sunil Grover is now seen hosting Boogie Woogie as 'Kunvari'.

Here's looking forward to many more evenings of Kapil Sharma tickling the funny bone of the nation with his infamous 'Babaji ka thullu'.
