Mumbai: Bhandary Seva Samithi celebrates diamond jubilee

Mumbai, Dec 31: Bhandary Seva Samithi Mumbai celebrated their diamond jubilee in Srimathi Radhabai T. Bhandary hall in Kurala east on Sunday December 29.

In the programme held in the evening, president Balakrishna Puttur, presided over the function.  The programme was set in motion by Santhosh M Shetty, member of Bhivandi city municipal council by lighting the lamp.  He also released a souvenir on the occasion.

Bhandary, honorary chief secretary Vishwanatha Bhandary, businessman Nityananda Bhandary Dubai, Stylo hair designer’s managing director Attur Shivarama Bhandary, Udupi member of municipal council Navin N Bhandary, Kachuru Nageshwara temple executive Gangadhara Bhandary Birthi, Bhandary Sangha Bangalore president Shekhara Bhandary and others were present as guests of honor.

“Building a society is building the country.  We should proudly admit that we are Bhandary community.  Only then can we be recognized by the society.  We should not hesitate to admit our community.  If we are proud of our community, the society will also respect us.  If we get rid of our differences and work towards the prosperity of the society, we can not only build a hall but the world”, said Santhosh M Shetty.

Other guests spoke on the occasion and recognized the service of the samithi, remembering its founders, praising the work done by the present office bearers and wished the samithi well.   

The members of the samithi are the essence of the association.  Whatever that is achieved by the samithi will be for the benefit of the members and not for office bearers.  Only when the members work to strengthen the samithi, will the society  flourish said Balakrishna Puttur, president of the programme.

Achievers of Bhandary Samaja, Kachooru Sri Nageshwara renovation samithi former president Vijaya Bhandary Bailooru, former manager Subhash Bhandary Kachuru, Vidya Prakash Bhandary Katla (advisor of Beauty Salon and Spa), Prema Bhandary on behalf of former president advocate K D Karkala, Madhava R Bhandary; advocate Sunder G Bhandary, former honorary secretary U Satish Bhandary, Vishwanath B Bhandary, T Seetharama Bhandary, former honorary treasurer Bhujanga Bhandary, Jayananda Bhandary on behalf of Vijayananda Bhandary, Shashi S Bhandary on behalf of late Bhaskar Bhandary Dombivli, Ramesh Bhandary Povai, Venkatesh Bhandary, Tara R Rao, Master Rohit Bhandary, Sujatha Bhandary on behalf of Kumari Chaitanya P Bhandary, Swathi S Bhandary and Balakrishna Pune were felicitated on the occasion.

Joint secretary Narayana R Bhandary, women’s wing president Lalitha V Bhandary, Rakesh Bhandary, president of youth wing and other office bearers of the samithi, leaders of subcommittee and members were present.  Kumari Gayatri A Bhandary led the prayer.  Joint treasurer Vijay Bhandary Nalasofara led the prayer to Sri Kachooru Nageshwara.

Advocate Shekar S Bhandary welcomed.  Bhujanga Giriya recollected the contribution of senior members in the samithi.  Vice president Padmanabha Bhandary Thane, honorary treasurer Pandu C Bhandary, joint secretary Purushothama Bhandary, advisory committee president advocate R M Bhandary, Seetarama Bhandary, P C Shekar Pune, Gurudas Bhandary, Karunakar Bhandary Kandivli and Women’s wing secretary Vanitha S Bhandary introduced the guests and presented flower bouquets to them.  Sachin R Bhandary and Sarita K Bangera conducted cultural programme.  Honorary chief secretary Prabhakara P Bhandary conducted the programme and proposed a vote of thanks.

Mumbai’s Jayasheela Bhandary and group presented stunt programmes that horripilate the audience.  Navin Bhandary Koppa and group presented musical programme and other members of the committee and children presented cultural programme.
