Mumbai: Lokesh B Ameen Doddikatte passes away

Mumbai, Jan 23: Lokesh B Ameen(86), former partner of well known Gemini tailors and proprietor of popular Highway tailors passed away due to brief illness and old age on Wednesday morning, January 22 at the Ashirwad hospital at Ghatkopar.
  
The deceased belonged to Doddikatte in Bajpe of Mangalore taluk and was a resident of Mogal lane in Matunga.

Lokesh Ameen was the founder member of Bharat Cooperative Bank Mumbai Ltd and had worked hard as an active member of Sevadal of Billawara Association, Mumbai.  He was a Congress activist and had participated in Quit India movement.  He had also fought in the freedom struggle.

He has left behind his wife Susheela L Ameen, Tulasidas Ameen his son, a well known social worker, executive committee member of NGO Jayashreekrishna environment lovers committee, three daughters and a large number of family members.

Jaya C Suvarna, honorary president of Billavara Association Mumbai, president L V Ameen, honorary chief secretary Jyothi K Suvarna, members, former president and present director of Bharath cooperative Bank Mumbai, Vasudev R Kotian and office bearers of Jayshreekrishna environment lovers committee have expressed their condolences on the sad demise of Lokesh B Ameen.
