AAP launches three-day road show in UP

Ghaziabad, Mar 1 (PTI): Taking the poll battle to Uttar Pradesh, AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal today kick-started his three-day road show in the politically significant state.

Kejriwal's rally, which started from the party office in Kaushambi, will cover over 15 Lok Sabha seats in the state.

The rally will cover Ghaziabad, Pilkhuwa, Hapur, Amroha, Moradabad, Rampur, Bareilly, Shahjahanpur and Hardoi.

"UP is dominated by caste and religion politics and we want to replace it with politics of development. The state is backward and we intend to target other parties over a number of issues plaguing the state," said senior party leader Manish Sisodia, who is accompanying Kejriwal in the road-show.

"Corruption, dynastic politics and criminalisation of politics are the main issues we will target in UP. Also, power is another important issue we intend to target as it is bigger problem than Uttar Pradesh," said another party leader and UP in-charge Sanjay Singh.

Kejriwal will also address a rally in Kanpur tomorrow.

The rally, second after the one in Rohtak in Haryana last week, is also a part of its national campaign, ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.

Through the road rally, AAP intends to target rival parties especially the Congress and the BJP over the Reliance gas issue.

The party has over 3.5 lakh workers and activists in Uttar Pradesh and also has pinned high hopes in the state.

It also plans to counter political heavy-weights like Samajwadi supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav, Congress-Vice President and President Sonia Gandhi, Union Ministers Salman Khurshid and Ajit Singh by fielding candidates against them.

On March two, the road rally will start from Hardoi and proceed to Unnao and reach Kanpur where Kejriwal will address a rally.

In Kanpur, Kejriwal will meet leaders from business community and social organisations.

On March 3, the road rally will head to Delhi covering Auraiya, Etawah, Firozabad, Agra, Mathura and Palwal.

Kejriwal's road rally, comprising fleet of over 50-70 cars, led to a traffic jam in Kaushambi.

    Mr. Kajeriwal is a do or die person. Today, India needs a person like Mr. Kajeriwal. Yet, many people pass anti Kajeriwal comments because we, Indians are used to slavery - to be a slave to corrupt and communal leaders. If Mr. Kajeriwal was power hungry, he would have joined either BJP or Congress and enjoyed the rest of his life like other CMs who wear masks of a sheep and suck blood of general public. Why people could not see how Mr. Kajeriwal was nailed by dirty, corrupt Congress and deadly danger communal BJP when he unmasked Ambani. We are fed up with both BJP and Congress and need of the hour is AAP. Please do not commit mistakes while voting and become slave for another 5 years, but, vote for AAP and be self ruler of our great country. Congress murdabad ! BJP murdabad !! AAP Zindabad !!! Jai Hind.

    AK wanted to be like 'PAGE 3' personality...(?)Personality?!! Come on...He want to take advantage of the majority of the present young generation who want fast change, fast money, but no ethics which is not going to work for a long time! Over the period these young bunch will become matured while realizing the facts as their thinking capacity improves... Unfortunate part is some people will realize the same very slowly while AK has done enough damage to this dynamic Democracy!

    Congress led Central govt already passed the Lokpal bill. Kejriwal wanted to pass this bill at Delhi assembly without discussing opposition parties and without taking approval from the Lt.Gov.
    Kejriwal is challenging the nation's military, police, supreme court, etc. he is thinking whole India is his own property and everybody have to obey his words. He is a threat to the nation. He doesn't respect the constitution and it is better to let him write a new constitution for him. In the name of Mid night raid his law minister beaten the women and asked her to urinate in the public. Will Kejriwal do the same thing with his own sister, daughter or wife? still Kjriwal keeping such a person in his party. Who has given the rights to AAP ministers to do moral policing? shame on Kejriwal and his supporters.
    The fact is Kejriwal realized he cannot rule and give the good governance to Delhi people and he wanted to quit. so he got the reason of Lokpal bill, resigned and ran away. If any govt want to pass the bill, definitely opposition parties will oppose the same. But being a CM it was his duty to convince them and pass the bill. That is called smartness But Kejriwal is over smart.

    1.Opposition party could not approve, they afraid of scams will bring into light. Even AAP would have given 1 year also, they will not support.
    The counter question to you: WHY CONG hasn't implemented of LOKPAL BILL so far. It took 66 years ??

    2. He is challenging. No one dared to do so far. Military, police and court are corrupt!!
    Counter question to you: Do you need more instances for these?? Are you new in India?? or simply you pretend CONG AS YOU ARE A AGENT AT ANY COST??
    3. On a midnight raid, urinating in public doesn't mean that she was naked. Yes, Kejriwal will do the same even if his wife or daughters.
    Counter question to you: Why CONG did not stop prostitution & the drug racket so many years in Delhi???
    4. Smartness is must to root out CORRUPT CONGRESS/BJP AND OTHER GAME PLAYING CORRUPT PARTIES

    These gutless people who comment on anything that comes their way do not wait for a second to think what is right and what is wrong.We have waited patiently for 60 years to get nothing in return and now we are in a hurry to set things right.
    I have an intention to follow Kejriwal's principles and I am ready to face any hurdles on my way.

    I fully agree with James. BJP & Congress combinedly planned to spoil AAP, however, they could not catch AAP as per their dirty agenda. AAP will come with the majority in Delhi & the governance will be the trend setter for the good ruling in the rest of the states in the country as well as nation.

    Mr.Kejriwal cannot rule a small state Delhi for 49 days, what the AAP have to tell the people further? They gained 28 seats in Delhi by making fake promises to the people. He is blaming Congress & BJP for his weak performance or disability. Let them do road show or footpath show, but people are not mad to give AAP one more chance, as they have misused the opportunity.

    You want to know what he has done in 49 days? Go and ask with Rikshawalas and small shop owners in Delhi.. They didn't paid a single rupee hafta in those 49 days!

    He will come back with Majority in Delhi then he will show you how to rule a state for 5 years that too without corruption!!

    Everybody fed-up with Congress-BJP traditional corrupted ruling.. Still, you people vote them and give one more chance to Loot the country..
