Mumbai: 'Kudrottu Garadi Darshana' book released

Mumbai, Mar 26:
'Kudrottu Garodi Darshana', a book on Garadi deities was released in the Billava Jagrati Balaga hall in Fort on Saturday evening, March 22.

Sooru C Karkera, founder president of Billava Jagruthi Balaga and well known restaurateur released the book.

N K Billawa, founder of Shubhada schools, Navunda, Vidyadayini Sabha Mumbai president J M Kotian, Kudrottu Sri Brahma Baidarkala Garadi Bada Ermalu president P Govardhan Palan, Honorary president Uchima Narayana Master, Garadi priest Sadananda Naiga and others were present.

If books on our tradition get published it will be a boon for our future generation. The books are the power to pronounce devotion, said Sooru C Karkera.

Muddu Moodubelle, one of the writers of the book and Akashwani National award winner Muddu Moodubelle introduced the book saying that the part played by the elderly in the development of Garodi is prominent.  "But we should spread it to the future generation and participate in it.  I thank R K Bangera Uchil, who inspired in the writing of the book and has been the backbone", he said.

N K Bangera said that he is happy at the release of the book.  If the present generation has to know the history of deities and the customs, it is necessary to publish such books in English, he said.

Another writer R K Bangera said that Ermal has the history of being established in the beautiful surroundings.  The collection of articles will be important for the next generations, he said.

Muddu Moodubelle, R K Bangera and DTP organizer Manthesh Reddy were felicitated by the chief guest.

Garadi Mumbai committee president Dharmesh S Salian introduced the guests and compeered the programme.  Honorary chief secretary Ramesh Kukyan welcomed.  Vice president Pandith Navinchandra Sanil and other office bearers felicitated the guests with flower bouquets. Honorary treasurer Naresh Amin proposed vote of thanks.
