Mumbai, Apr 1: Malaika multi-brand electronic retail store, from the house of Malaika Appliances Pvt Ltd, was inaugurated at Golden Next Junction, Byandar West, on Sunday March 30.

The store was inaugurated by Gilbert Mendonca, MLA of Meera-Byandar legislative constituency. Fr Dominic Vas, parish priest, St Joseph’s Church, Meera Road, lit the lamp and blessed the occasion.

Etho Son, MD, Funai Company, was the chief guest at the inaugural ceremony. Asenla Pereira, member, Meera-Byandar Municipal Corporation, Cardo Son, director, Funai Company, Maxim Mathias, businessman, Freddy Mendonca, businessman, Dr Antony Sequeira, Marfi Rebello, Leo Fernandes, John Crasta, Arun Noronha, and John G Mendonca were the guests of honor. Malaika Group MD Gilbert Baptist welcomed the gathering. Director Marceleena G Baptist and Sonika G Baptist gave flowers to the guests.

Loyal Baptist, Elsy G Rodrigues, Manohar R Shetty, Teja Ravindra Shetty, Sushanth S Sabath, Chandrashekar Nayak, Ramani Aiyar, Alphonsa Corda, and Sundar Poojary of Malaika Group were present on the occasion. King Edward compered the event. Malaika Group HR department head Noyal Mascarenhas proposed the vote of thanks.

Malaika Group has been manufacturing induction cookers and RO water purifiers under its own brand ‘Yusoma’ and has stores in Mangalore, B C Road, and Thokkottu too besides Mumbai.
