Cannes, May 21 (IANS): Robert Pattinson "doesn't know" if he has an audience outside of the “Twilight” movies but he is doing his best to diversify as an actor and appeal to more people.
The actor is still best known for his role as teen vampire Edward Cullen in the hugely successful movie franchise, but he's trying to take on roles which will paint him in a different light, such as his appearance in action drama “The Rover” and indie flick “Maps to the Stars”, reports contactmusic.com.
Speaking at the ongoing 67th Cannes International Film Festival, he said: "I had done so many parts where I was super-still - like the whole of 'Twilight'. It's so restrictive.
"You do something (like 'The Rover') where you have blood all over your face, you can't be expected to fit into any kind of mould. Also, I don't really know who my audience is. I don't know if I have an audience. Outside of 'Twilight', I don't know."
