Man sets himself afire outside Delhi court


New Delhi, May 22 (IANS): A 28-year-old man Thursday set himself on fire outside a court here, police said.

The man, identified as Sandeep, received 90 percent burn injuries. The incident occurred outside gate no.1 of Tis Hazari Court.

The reason behind the extreme step was yet to be ascertained. 

The man, who was admitted to Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narayan Hospital, was not in a condition to speak, police said adding that they were waiting for the man's family, which lives in the city's Babarpur area.
