'Bandipotu' not spoof on any film: Director


Hyderabad, June 11 (IANS): Director Indraganti Mohan Krishna has clarified that his upcoming Telugu directorial "Bandipotu" is an out-and-out comedy entertainer and not a spoof of the 1968 eponymous classic film in the language.

"Bandipotu" features Allari Naresh and Eesha in the lead roles.

"There has been a rumour going around that my film is actually a spoof on Telugu classic 'Bandipotu'. But it's not, because my film is a complete comedy entertainer. I'm extremely happy to be working with Naresh under his father's (E.V.V Satyanarayana) banner," Mohan Krishna told IANS.

"Naresh expressed his interest to work with me several times in the past, but a good story didn't materialize. Finally, I have a story now suitable for him and we can't wait to start shooting," he added.

Naresh's brother Aryan Rajesh, who has taken over their family banner, is producing the film under EVV Cinema.

The film, which was launched here Tuesday, is expected go on floors soon.
