Snooki wins perfume lawsuit

Los Angeles, June 19 (IANS): Former “Jersey Shore” star Snooki, who had sued a rival compnay for $2.4 million claiming that it hijacked her trademark scent, has won the lawsuit.

Snooki had filed the lawsuit against Excell Brands in New Jersey, claiming its perfume called "Snazzy" is a blatant rip-off her of her official fragrance called "Snooki."

The rival company has been ordered to stop using a knock-off version of "Snooki". A judge ruled Excell Brands cannot use Snooki's face or likeness to sell its "Snazzy" fragrance, according to tmz.com.

Her given name - Nicole Polizzi - is also off limits now for marketing and packaging.

The judge has yet to decide how much cash Snooks will get - but the smell is all hers.
