First Ekaha Bhajan held at Billawa Bhavan

Mumbai, June 24: The social and religious sub-committee of the Billawara Association, Mumbai held their first Ekaha Bhajan on Saturday June 21 at 6.04 am.
The bhajan held at Billawa Bhavan in Santacruz east in the midst of Brahmashree Narayanaguru diety was inaugurated by association president L V Ameen after lighting the traditional lamp.
“Bhjans have the power to achieve nirvana from divisive forces. Devotional bhajans bring about peace in our lives. Psalms and bhajans clean our hearts and make our lives worth living,” said L V Ameen.
Association vice president Nityananda D Kotian, Chandrashekar S Poojary, honorary chief secretary Jyothi K Suvarna, joint secretary Dhananjay S Kotian, executive president of social and religious sub-committees Mohandas J Poojary, honorary secretary Ravindra A Ameen and office bearers were present.
The prayers and recitation of psalms continued for 24 hours. Association's central, local and regional committees and Gurunarayana Bhajana Mandali led the bhajans. Well-known bhajan groups Datta Jagadamba Bhajana Mandali, Baptistwadi, Krishna Bhajana Mandali Tribhuvan Road, Ramakrishna Bhajana Mandali Kondivita, Rama Bhajana
Mandali Kamani, Uma Maheshwari Bhajana Mandali Jerimeri, Krishna Bhajana Mandali Bhandup, Mahakali Bhajana Mandali Santacruz, Jagadamba Bhajana Mandali Jogeshwari, Laxminarayana Bhajana Mandali Mira Road, Geethambika Bhajana Mandali Asalfa, Manikanta Bhajana Mandali Sakinaka, Nityananda Bhajana Mandali Sakinaka, Dattatreya Bhajana Mandali Asalfa and other Bhajana Mandalis participated in the programme.
