Krishna Hegde distributes sugar sachets

Mumbai, June 25: MLA Krishna Hegde distributed sachets of sugar of 50 grams each to resident and Chai Wallah of Vile Parle on the evening of Tuesday June 24.
"This is what the Modi government has allowed people to afford within a month. First rise in diesel prices, doubling of railway fares and now increase in sugar prices. This is unaffordable to the common man," he said.
"We normally distribute sugar during Diwali but within a month the Modi government has made the people ‘Diwala’ (Bankrupt)," he added.
Hegde said that Modi had 'Chai pe Charcha' all over the country, but now with increase in sugar prices the ‘chai’ will not taste that sweet.
"This is not ache din but jhoote din. The people are slowly coming to know the real face of the BJP," he concluded.
