Rajata Sangha celebrates 77th anniversary

Mumbai, June 26: The 77th anniversary of Rajata Sangha Mumbai was celebrated at Amar Hind Mandal hall, Dadar (E) on Sunday June 22. The Sangha president Satish Salian presided over the programme.

"I am continuing with this responsibility on your insistence with your love and blessings. Let us be one with the blessings of the Almighty and take the sangha towards the path of development," said Satish Salian in his presidential speech.


Among the members of the sangha, those couples who had celebrated their golden and diamond wedding anniversaries were congratulated on the occasion. Similarly those who had excelled in different spheres in state and country levels in competitions showcasing their talents, were also felicitated during the programme.

Free books, scholarships and aid were distributed to hundreds of students of the sangh and they were filled with inspiration.

Honorary secretary Ramesh Madivala read last year's report while joint secretary Srimathi Madiwala gave a description of the yearly
activities.

Monish Gopal Niduvaje, Yash Prakash Thimma, Rajeshwari Rajesh Kunder, Manish Suresh Salian, Harshita Harish Gujaran and Harsh Jayaraj Bangera passed the SSC examination with high marks while Nihal Pradeep Kunder, Shashank Subhash Kilpadi, Suma Haridas Salian and Jithen Tukaram Salian passed the HSC examination with distinction. Sachin Raghu Kunder passed the CA examination and Nidhisha Harish was selected for Kritak dance at the national level and is selected for the international competition to be held in December this year; Disha Rajesh Gujaran won the first prize in Kick Boxing. These achivers  were presented with Talent Awards and were felicitated.

Bhaskar P Salian and Jalaja B Salian (diamond jubilee celebration) Lokayya M Salian and Lolakshi L Salian, Loknath Kunder and Nalini L Kunder, Narayan S Kunder and Leelavathi N Kunder, Mahabala S Kunder and Vasanthi M Kunder, Bhujanga G Gujaran and Sumitra B Gujaran (golden jubilee celebration) were felicitated by the office bearers of the sangha with shawls, fruits and flowers. The felicitated couples expressed their feeling.

P M Salian, former president of the sangha honored Balakrishna Salian, executive president of Dombivli unit for having held the maximum number of programmes during the period when he was the president, pushing up Dombivli unit to the first place. He also honored Bhujanga D Salian, Prakash J Salian, Ramesh Falimar, Sarojini D Kunder and Balakrishna M Salian for having enrolled the maximum number of members.

Members present at the meeting expressed their views. Secretary Ramesh Madival proposed the vote of thanks. The programme ended with the national anthem.

New executive presidents for the 2014-2016 for five units, women's wings and youth wing were elected during the meeting.

The management committee consists of Satish Salian (president), Harish Salian (vice president), Ramesh Madival (honorary secretary), Sarojini D Kunder (joint secretary), Dinesh Kunder, Vijay Kunder (treasurer) and members are P M Salian, Sumitra Palimar, Shashank Salian, B K Vijayanath, Subhash Salian, Balakrishna M Salian, Prakash J Salian, Satish A Kunder, Women's wing president Shubha Gujaran and Youth Wing executive president Ronak Kunder.

The units presidents are Dombivli- Sanchicha Ekaar (executive president), Navi Mumbai- Kiran Kunder, Vasai- Devendra Bunnan,
Central- Prabhakar Salian, Western- Ashok Kunder, Women's wing executive president Dombivli- Jayashree Kunder, Vasai- Pushpa Bangera, Navi Mumbai- Geetha Madivala, Central- Shalini Salian, Western- Sunitha Kunder.

Youth wing executive presidents Dombivli- Ranjan Salian, Vasai- Vinith Bangera, Navi Mumbai- Disha Kunder, Central- Deepika Kunder and Western- Gaurav Salian.
