Chennai, July 8 (IANS): Following the success of recently released Tamil comedy "Mundasupattia, its makers - Fox Star Studios and C.V. Kumar - are planning to work on a sequel, which will be developed on ideas shared by audiences who've watched the first part.
Based on an award-winning short film, "Mundasupatti" is an adventure comedy, set in the 1980s, and has been raved by critics and audiences alike.
The film, which features Vishnu Vishal and Nandita in the lead, has so far minted Rs.10.25 crore at the box-office and continues to run to packed houses.
"The makers are now planning to roll out a sequel to 'Mundasupatti'. And they are inviting the audiences who have watched the film, to come back with interesting and engaging ideas for the sequel," read a statement.
"Apart from being converted into a film, the brains behind the selected story idea will also receive a huge cash reward," added the statement.
"Mundasupatti 2" is scheduled to go on floors early next year.
