Mumbai, July 21: "The community should be financially strong for its progress. It should follow a certain path to achieve it. A customer or a shareholder spends his money with faith on the company and the management committee. So, sincerity is essential for a financial institution. In the present circumstances it is adventurous to understand the situation and make the financial services
successful," said Narayana R Gowda, executive president of Jayalaxmi Cooperative Credit Society Limited.

"Commitment is necessary in service and if the mind of the management committee is clear, they can identify positive and negative thoughts in order to achieve all round development of the society," he opined.


Jayalxmi Society convened by Okkaliga Sangha Maharastra held their fourteenth general body meeting at Kamgar Kalyan Bhavan in Andheri (E) on Sunday July 20. The executive president and K R Pete MLA Narayana Gowda, set the meeting in motion after presiding and lighting the traditional lamp.

The directors Chandan C Chari, Muthe S Gowda, M Kempe Gowda, R U Lagade, Anusooya R Gowda, Devaki N Gowda and Sunanda R Gowda were on the dais. The female directors conducted the arthi and laxmi pooja programmes. Mallikarjuna Swamy Kanjurmarga conducted worship programme.

P A Haldavnekar was the chief guest and Sadananda Gaikwad, businessman Shekhar J Gowda auditor, Ajay Kumar, C A Somashekar Gowda and other elites were present.

The secretary Rangappa Gowda spoke and said that the working capital in the company was Rs 3.89 crores, partnership capital Rs 2.25 crores, reserves Rs 1.41 crores, savings account deposits Rs 5.29 crores, fixed deposits Rs 5.28 crores and jayalaxmi daily deposits Rs 5.05 crores. He said that there are 3,615 members at present and the share capital has gone up by 13.42%.

The society has worked efficiently and earned the trust of customers and shareholders. "The shareholders will be distributed a dividend
of 9% this year," said vice president K Raje Gowda.

The meeting condoled the deaths of society members and well-wishers during the beginning of the meeting. Society members, shareholders, customers, well-wishers as well as several people from the Okkaliga community present during the meeting gave their suggestions for the progress of the society. Children were distributed financial aid and wished well during the programme.

Sneha Gowda presented a Bharatha Natya. Society manager Parashuram Kisan Dond welcomed, presented the report of previous year and compeered the programme. Shilpa Santhosh Mandavkar, Ganesh C Gowda, Prakash Namdev Wadkar and Asharami Gowda gave details of the services of the society and other activities.

Rangappa C Gowda appreciated the services of employee groups and Pygmy collection agents and thanked them.
