Indian Nationals tourney to be held

Mumbai, July 26: D J Sanghvi College of Engineering will host the Indian Nationals on July 25, 26 and 27.

Indian Nationals is a cubing tournament in which participants compete with each other in solving the Rubik's Cube and other puzzles. The participants who manage to solve the cube the fastest is declared the winner. The tournament will be held in collaboration with WCA (World Cube Association) that organizes and governs competitions all over the world and is supported by national organizations responsible for organizing competitions in their respective countries.


WCA organizes Nationals in very few countries like Australia and the US. Nationals are held in only those countries that WCA feels has participants of very good caliber. These tournaments are attended by people from various countries all over the globe. This is the first of its kind event in the Indian subcontinent.

A total of 18 competitions will be held in the tournament, some of which are Rubik’s cube, 2x2, 4x4, 5x5, 6x6, 7x7, 3x3 blindfolded, 3x3 one-handed, megaminx, pyraminx, square 1, skewb and Rubik clock.
 
Keeping in mind the magnitude of the tournament, an attendance of more than 400 is expected. Participants from four nationalities namely India, Australia, USA and Indonesia will be present.
