Mumbai, Aug 7: "Literature and art are two powerful mediums developed by man. The experience of each individual is unique and special in it. So the experience of language, feelings, tune and beauty are all different for different people. Those are conspired infants who embrace some and leave away others. Littérateurs and artistes should be aware of them," said Ravi R Anchan.

He was speaking after presiding over a programme titled 'Mane Maneyalli Sahitya Spandana' (Vibrancy of Literature from House to House).

Watching and appreciating the natural beauty around the house of Padmavathi and Ravi Naik situated beside National Park at Borivli, he said that he must come to the house one day and relish the beauty for one or two hours. He congratulated the Naik couple for selecting the house as their abode.

He remembered Swami Vevekananda who was stunned by standing at the lap of Sahyadri. He shed light on the literary works and lives of Vivekananda, Abraham Lincoln, Gandhiji, Ambedkar, Lohia, Kuvempu, Karanth, Bendre and others.

Anchan continued saying that two women, Leela Ganesh Poojary and Vani Shetty have newly entered the literary world by their poetry. "We came across surprising incidents when we went through their dairies. Though they were writing continuously since their college days, they did not try to get them published or show them to others. However the organizers who identified them and gave them an opportunity to showcase their talent have done something worthwhile. We congratulate them. This evening filled with poetry, stories, articles and bhajans is an evening worth spending," he added.

Anchan hoped that more new talents may come up from the place and congratulated everybody. The programme began with prayers by Ravi Naik. Author Chandrashekar Rao in his introductory speech gave details on how the programme 'Literature from house to house,' started in his house in Bhadup about fifteen years ago, has continued to this day.

Literary works by Hema Sadananda Amin (Badavara Bangara – story), Vani Shetty (Oh Enna Manave – poem), Petri Vishwanath Shetty (Aa Hadu Matthe Haduva – story), Leela Ganesh Poojary (Nammoora Mathe Kallutti – poem), Ashok Acharya (Kande Na Govinda – bhajan), Harish Poojary
