After reading yr comments, you agree vehicles made in India are unsafe, then where is safety standard? Somebody like you and million more thru media need to push Govt.to enhance quality & safety,This has to happen today or tomorrow, or years later. Question is where is Safety ? If factories continue to make cheap cars, there will be no place to walk on road in coming years. This answers million questions, believe in quantity not quality. This is unacceptable to someone like me, may be to the rest living in India.

Bro while respecting your views, sitting in some 'High Place' it is very very easy to comment, but 'impossible' to put in action in a country where majority of the population who cannot even afford traveling by 'rickshaw', forget your so called "Safe Car"!!!

The main cause for all these fatalities is the never ending, poorly managed NH 66 ongoing construction work.

Many pleas to the leaders by locals have fallen on deaf ears until now.

I myself found it so dangerous driving on NH 66 at every meter length of the road.

we have lack of technologies.. like other cities we supposed install Radar to catch over speeding and cameras to catch rule breakers.. without considering any influence traffic police must impose penalty on vehicles.. then only we can prevent such things... Poor guy.. may his soul RIP..

It's not the problem with the vehicle. You should always wear seat belts. At least you can save your life.

    Hi Rudolf,
I am talking about Impact of cars after accident & crash test, you are pointing out on quality of helmets. Let us not argue. The truth is Indian made cars are not used overseas since they do not pass crash test.

Bro, the products sold in any country will be as per the demand situation!! As you might be aware, due to sky high fuel rates, majority of buyers go for best fuel efficiency, optimal pricing along with reliability with this is mind the vehicles are manufactured!! Now if you sit in US and pass comments which are not feasible in this part of the world, there will be no sense of they doing business in India!! Who says sturdy vehicles with advanced safety features are not available here you are talking about, but then the buyers for these are very minuscule!! I hope you will now understand why the vehicles are so light and delicate!!

A big tragedy.May his Soul rest in peace.Poor new-bride.what here Shows the Person who hit the car has gone without even giving first aid to the injured or leaving back his identity.so heartless .I think looking all These accidents ,in future the car owner for his own safety and in case accident happens,as a evidence (Like here )everyone could place a Video camera on dash board switched on.In Russia many People are doing at present. There too like in India ,some are driving without rules and regulations and noone knows when accidents happen or die.here did someone hit him with purpose ?question is there.Heartfelt sympathy to the Family.

And our govt/highway authorities are planning increase the speed to 100 Kms without first addressing - proper roads, signs, etc. Inviting more accidents in the future. Educate drivers not to drive on opposite direction on a road meant for one specific direction. Speed thrills but kills too! Wake up you responsible authorities.

Everyday we see accidents and we are against rules also. We dont want changes in the traffic system, if done we go on strike. The lesson my dear friends is first we have to make people learn how to live like human beings, need to pull out the animal behaviour out of them and then give them all kind of modern means to leave.

Now what we have done is we have given animals the modern means who dont even know to make best of it.

Now here the person dead or his family, what they gonna gain, nothing not even justice. Why???? can anybody explain. Its Jaanwar raaj around.....we are living with perverted beasts around.....

May his soul rest in peace.....

After seeing Crash pictures, it appears, the quality of vehicles made India Standard are poor. Would these vehicles pass Crash Test ? I don't think so. Govt should come out with an institution that should implement tests for Quality, performance and Crash test prior to giving permit to manufacture vehicles. These tests can result saving thousands of lives every year.

    Rest in Peace Ravi.

Joe Martis Sir, though what you are telling is correct to a "certain" extent, Michael Schumacher (wish him a fast recovery) was wearing a "Western certified" helmet and skiing in the most safest skiing resort in the world, how did his helmet crack?? BTW, I am ex employee of Electropneumatics!!

That does not mean wearing helmets will not protect person from head injury. It will help in reducing the injury. If he was wearing seat belt & the vehicle was equipped with airbags the person wouldn't have died.

Bro, you are very right!! The "toughest" of helmet will protect, but 'still not protect' the one who is "destined" to die!!

Just within a month read two news reports of a man falling down from the 13th floor and survived with just bruises and another man falling down from his bed and succumbed!!!!

looking at the pics the car looks intact except for the bonnet and eng comp.If the driver was wearing a seatbelt he would have survived.
Seat belts are real life savers over 60% of car accident fatalities are avoided in countries where seat belt laws are strictly followed.

Seeing the accident, the car is almost flat as a pancake, truck must be speeding.

Very sad news, he was just married. My condolences.

Very unfortunate. After years of driving in GCC states, driving in India looks difficult or scary on our Mlore/udupi roads
