Mangalore, Aug 11: Hundreds of music lovers were taken on a delightful journey of evergreen melodies, at the fifth 'Sargam' event held at Town Hall on Sunday August 10.

The trio of multi-lingual singer Anita D'Souza, Srikanth Kamath and Ranjan Das rendered an astonishing performance and transported the audience to another world with songs from the yesteryears.

Inaugurating the programme by lighting the lamp, Naresh Shenoy of State Bank of Mysore, Kottara Chowki branch Mangalore said, "The trio have entertained my family members from the 5th birthday of my son to the 1st birthday of my grandson. I wish them all success in their future endeavours."

Eminent poet and director (operations) of Daijiworld Media Pvt Ltd, Melvyn Rodrigues addressing the gathering said, "There are a few words which you cannot express, but those few words can be expressed through music. Superb show boss.

The three best things in this nearly 4 hours non-stop show were Anita’s singing, the Flautist and the Tabla / bongo player. The three simply set the stage on fire. I must say we are indeed fortunate to have one Anita from Mangalore who can sing those old Hindi melodies true to their original composition without missing a single note.

Not forgetting Prem John whom though I am seeing for the first time did a fantastic job of keeping the audience delighted and of course Srikanth and Ranjan.

I do agree with Dony Lobo. Always in life we long to hear those haunting voices (eg., Mrs. Maroli) which we heard before and don’t know why cannot hear again.

    And again !

Wish Daijworld had indicated somewhere in their online portal about the program in advance, I too, being a music lover, would have loved to attend it.

The beloved better half of the honourable gentleman in dazzling Green .....I am surprised as to why she did not sing at least one song that would have straightaway made the entire wonderful audience feel as if they are floating among the bright stars up above almost near the seventh heaven....and I insist that Mrs.Veni Maroli should be 'compelled' to contribute her most beautiful voice on any future occasion......
