Army giving befitting response to ceasefire violations: Jaitley

New Delhi, Aug 21 (PTI) : Indian troops are giving appropriate response whenever Pakistan violates the ceasefire along the border, Defence Minister Arun Jaitley said today.

"Whenever ceasefire violations take place our soldiers give appropriate response at the border," he told reporters here.

The Minister was asked about the continuing ceasefire violations on the sidelines of a conference of Tourism Ministers here.

There have been 12 ceasefire violation in the past ten days along the Indo-Pak border by Pakistani troops.

    Before elections p.m was roaring like a tiger and threatened to retaliate..... but now our p.m has become CHUPendra and sangi mohan is roaring...but is talking about religion blah blah blah..

    Honestly, we cant expect Bjpee to smash the pakees. Bjp is only good for big 'ball curry talks'. pakis need to be smashed and bashed really hard...but sadly feku and daku have no guts.

    BJP tigers are now sounding like PUSSYs.

    Minster sahab come out from your honeymoon time n dream world. When congress wss in power even then the military personnel at the border gave tough response and it is you minister shouting loud making loud noise on channels beating your chest asking for resignations... suggesting solutions as if you have jin with you. So why not now to use those measures instead of saying our brave military personnel are responding tough....everyone of us common man knows that n believe in our soldiers at the border ....BUT we doubt your sincerity of beating your chest n crying loud for soldiers from opposition n now passing press releases like an fool.

    In 1981, when Ronald Reagan completed his inaugural speech saying he would bring peace thru strength regarding the US hostages, within 20 minutes Iran released the US hostages. Modi, like any citizen in India, knew very well what congress did and did not do, and that is the reason now they are 44. But, what all big big speeches he made on soldier beheading, Section 370, Dawood and teaching lesson to Pak, we thought here is a man who means business and something like Reagan would happen. But, by now, he has proved himself to be not better than MMS, regarding Pak.

    army used to give befitting reply to pakis during UPA rule too. Army is doing its job. Just tell us whats ur govt is doing in this regard..I want n wish ur govt take a tough stand against pak n teach them a befitting lesson once n for all to be read in history by my grand children..do u have any???

    After Modi assumed power in Delhi,Pak violated more than 25 times and China intruded Indian territory for about 25 KM.China acting as if there is no LOC and building railway track near our boarder.

    OK now your party is in power that is why my question So you have a time frame or just say because congress did not do it we also cannot do it.Question here is the cheddis talk very tall but zero in action.Congress knows reality and acts accordingly.Vajpayee said AAr Ya Paar ki ladayi hogi and mobilized army on the border at the expense of tax payer just to withdraw it after parliament attack.Cheddis should not talk tall but show the real action.Our Indian Army is one of the best in the world.Cheddis need not take credit for it.

    Dear bro, Army always given befitting response to Pak... But our politicians not used our army's upper-hand position to the best of Country's interest. Best example is 1971 war, where our army captured 90,000 Pakistani soldiers... But what we did, we just returned them without getting any thing in return ??? We would have finalised International borders then by using them !!!

    Our country is safe in the hands of Indian Army but not in the hands of these Feku Ministers who eat and drink with the PM of Pakistan.Was there any need to make merry with Pak PM on 26 May and shake hands for so long.China has already entered 50 Kms inside and PM still has not taken action. If Our Army is given firm order they will see to it that Chinese troops are driven out. But sad we have a weak PM.

    Praveen...Every Govt has to try diplomacy & dialogues first. So when the new elected Govt took over, the PM tried this initiative by inviting the Paki PM and kicking off a peace process. So if Paki has not reciprocated appropriately we cannot blame our Govt. So now we ought to see how we go from here. In the previous regime of the Khangress, Pakis infiltrated at will and the spineless MMS did not utter a word even when our Jawans were behaded. He was busy taking orders and instruction from his masters Antanio Maino Khan and Raul Vinci Khan. No wonder the US Time magazine called him an'underachiever' with his pic on the cover .
