Rain makes Thursday pleasant in Delhi, more expected Friday


New Delhi, Sep 4 (IANS): Rainfall led to a pleasant Thursday in Delhi. The Met Office has forecast more rain on Friday.

The city has received 13.3 mm of rainfall till 5.30 p.m. Thursday, said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

The day's maximum temperature was recorded two notches below the season's average at 32.5 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperature was 25 degrees Celsius, a notch below the season's average.

Humidity was 93 percent.

According to the Met department, the pleasant weather will also continue Friday.

"The sky will remain cloudy tomorrow (Friday) and some parts of the city will get rain and thundershowers," said an IMD official.

The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 33 and 25 degrees Celsius respectively.

Wednesday's minimum temperature settled at 26.1 degrees Celsius, average for this time of the season, while the maximum temperature was 33.2 degrees Celsius, a notch below the season's average.
