Islamabad, Sep 23 (IANS): At least four people were killed and 13 injured in a powerful blast targeting a convoy of the Frontier Corps (FC) in Pakistan's Peshawar city Tuesday, Geo News reported.
The intensity of the blast was so severe that windows of nearby buildings were shattered. According to a senior Bomb Disposal Squad official, 45 kg of explosive material was used for the blast.
The convoy was escorting a high ranking military official to Peshawar, Dawn online reported.
Brigadier Khalid Javed, who was the target of the attack, narrowly escaped the explosion and is safe, police officer Ijaz Khan told reporters.
