Mangalore: Man dies after being hit with heavy stone

Mangalore, Oct 23: The body of a male that was found lying near the steps of MCC Bayalu Ranga Mantapa located opposite Urwa Marigudi Temple in the city on Thursday October 23 morning has been identified as Nandakumar(48).

The victim was badly injured on the head. Prima facie, it appeared that he might have died after being hit on his head with a large, heavy stone.

The circumstances that led to his death are yet to be ascertainted.

Police commissioner R Hitendra, deputy police commissioner Vishnuvardhan, along with Urwa police visited the spot and are taking steps to register a case in Urwa police station.
