Mumbai, Nov 10: A preliminary meeting for upcoming World Tuluvara Conference was held by Bunts Sangha, Mumbai at Bhivandi recently. The meeting was led by Moodushedde Vishwanath Shetty, former president of Bunts Sangha, Mumbai Bhivandi-Badlapura regional committee.
Bhivandi-Badlapura regional committee outgoing president Dayashankar Shetty was felicitated on the occasion. Local MLA Narendra Pawar, Santhosh M Shetty, Pushpa Jayavanth Boyir, All India Tulu Okkoota president Dharmapal U Devadiga, Bunts Sangha Mumbai president Karnire Vishwanath Shetty and young entrepreneur Prashanth Kapil Boyir were present on the dais. The couple Dayashankar Shetty and Roopa Dayashankar Shetty were felicitated during the occasion.
Dharmapal Devadiga spoke inviting everyone for the proposed World Tuluvera Conference at Sahyadri Engineering College arena from December 12 to December 14, 2014. He explained about the preparations being undertaken for the conference. He requested newly appointed president Subbayya Shetty to release donation coupons and cooperate for the success of the conference. The elite people present on the occasion, spoke praising the harmony between Tulu-Kannadigas and Bunts in Bhivandi.
Bunts Mumbai honorary chief secretary Ulthooru Mohandas Shetty, Joint secretary Kishore Kumar Shetty Kuthyar, Joint treasurer Mahesh S Shetty, Povai S M Shetty education committee executive vice president Mundkooru Rathnakar Shetty and newly appointed Bhivandi regional committee president Subbayya Shetty were felicitated and congratulated by Karnire Vishwanath Shetty by presenting flower bouquets.
Meanwhile Moodushedde Vishwanath Shetty honored Dr Surendra V Shetty, who has received doctorate in world convention held at Malaysia and Karnire Vishwanatha Shetty who has been elected as president of Bantara Sangha.
Moodushedde Vishwanath Shetty welcomed and gave a key note address. Revathi Vishwanath Shetty, Deviprasad V Shetty, Saiprasad V Shetty and Devika V Shetty presented flower bouquets to the guests and honored them. Thonse Vijayakumar Shetty introduced the guests, compered the programme and proposed vote of thanks.
