Mumbai, Nov 17: “The creation of Chinnara Bimba is unique. The aim of Chinnara Bimba is to help the children to have love for country, culture, language and love of the motherland. It is necessary to inculcate the love of local language and culture among children who are going after English language. The service of the organization in making the children cultural
ambassadors when they grow in between Hindi. English and Marati should be appreciated. We are deprived of such experience. Children should unite and work more than their parents and guardians in respect of culture. May the organization grow as the youth force of Kannada language. The culture will reach its peak by confidence”, said minister of Karnataka state Kannada and culture, Umashree.

She was speaking during the Chinnara Bimba 12th anniversary programme held at Bantara Bhavana Radhabai T Bhandary hall at Bhandary estate at Kurla east on Sunday morning, November 16.















































“While the work on Kannada language has become difficult, the service minded approach is necessary. It is sad that the government of Karnataka has not identified the service of Chinnara Bimba. The Kannada and cultural ministry will be cooperating with you. I will try to smoothen your way after speaking to the minister of education”, said minister Umashree.

of Karnataka state department of Kannada and culture, Mumbai university Kannada department head Dr G N Upadhya, Bantara Sangha Mumbai president Karnire Vishwanatha Shetty, Billavara Association Mumbai president Nithyananda D Kotian, senior businessman C A N B Shetty were present.


"Parents are necessary for the progress of culture. If the mothers teach culture to children, it starts growing in children. The way of wisdom should be lit for children. It is not possible by lessons. The culture can be retained only by encouragement. It is necessary to go to the root level for the purpose. Chinnara Bimba is the cultural ambassador. It is a matter of pride for us, said Balakrishna Holla in is presidential address.

"The people of coastal region have left a stamp among Marathi people. They have learnt Kannada and Tulu and maintained their tradition. The contribution of Kannadigas for the culture of Karnatka is great," said minister Abhayachandra Jain.

Karnire Vishwanath praised that Chinnara Bimba as a beautiful creation. He also said that tt is not a programme but a forum for proclamation of
culture.

Dr G N Upadhya spoke saying that the arrival of minister Umashree has made him glad. He also said that he was confident of the government recognizing Chinnara Bimba.

There were Bhajan competitions, dance, solo and group Janapada songs, dance competitions, group songs for the parents of children. Several children presented Bhajans, dances, verses, short essays, etc. They also presented Abhimanyu Kalaga Yakshagana and Jai Bharatha Janani programmes. Master Vikram Patkar did a mimicry of Prime Minister Modi's speech.

Renuka Prakash Bhandary of Chinnara Bimba, founder president Pooja Prakash Bhandary, Naina Prakash Bhandary, leaders of different branches of Chinnara Bimba Bhaskar Shetty Talipady, Kaiyaru Ramesh D Rai, Ashok Shetty, Thonse Sanjiva Poojary, Ravindra Shetty, Ashok Pakkala, Jayaprakash Shetty Kalva, Vijaya Kotian, Ramesh Shetty Kalyan, Chandrashekar Shetty, several ofice bearers of Chinnara Bimba, hundreds of children and parents were present.

Renuka Prakash Bhandary and children said prayer. Children Hasta Shetty, Sahitya Shetty, Supriya Udupa, Prakhyath Shetty, Dikshita Kothari, Aditya Hegde introduced the guests and honored them with flower bouquets. Apeksha Shetty, Darshan Hegde and Vikram Patkar compered the hall programme. Poornima S Shetty and Ashok Pakkala compered cultural programme. Naina Prakash Bhandary proposed Vote of thanks.
