Bengaluru: Prohibitory orders ahead of mining baron Janardhana Reddy's release

Bengaluru, Jan 22 (PTI): Prohibitory orders were promulgated today in about half-a-km radius around the Parappana Agrahara prison here ahead of former minister and mining baron G Janardhana Reddy's release from jail.

The Supreme Court on Tuesday had granted bail to Reddy, who is an accused in the illegal mining case involving his Obulapuram Mining Company (OMC).

Reddy, facing several criminal cases, was arrested in 2011.

Anticipating his release, a large number of his supporters are expected to gather near Parappana Agrahara prison on January 22 and 23 for celebrations, and this may disturb peace and normalcy in the area, and may cause damage to property and traffic congestion in the locality, City Police Chief M N Reddi said in a statement said.

Also citing Intelligence reports about possible disturbance to law and order situation in the area, Reddi said prohibitory orders had been promulgated from 12 noon on January 22 to mid night on January 23.

The apex court had granted bail after CBI submitted that the investigation in the case involving Reddy is complete and both the charge sheet as well as the supplementary charge sheet have been filed.

While granting bail, the bench imposed certain conditions including that Reddy will be released from jail on furnishing two sureties of Rs 10 lakh each and that he shall not leave the country without the permission of the court while directing him to surrender his passport.

Sonia akke didi not had aa chance to bless her sons in Karnataka. It was all an arrangement with collution with oppertunists. So many from her party had undergone Lokayukta/many have left intentionally by the crooks.Investigating officer too knew if they touch anybody from Congistan next day their family empire will be under threat and may be shaken anytime.reason is obvious. Now those people are pro VHP/RSS/BJP etc., Common people do not under the politricks in politics.Poor Janardhan Reddy was only caught with another Yedurappa with malafide intentions......No person subjected to Lokayukta enquiry and found guilty of owing disproportioante assets to his KNOWN income was neither punished /assets were confiscated or demoted/sent home from his lucrative job.Instead he was proted for more convenient place. This all in this game.Law is not at all equal to all.....
