Kuwait: Countdown begins for KWAK 15th anniversary bash

Kuwait, Feb 8: The final countdown has begun for the fifteenth anniversary celebrations of Kanajar Welfare Association Kuwait (KWAK) which will be held on Friday, February 13 at American International School (AIS) Auditorium, Maidan Hawalli, at 4:30 pm sharp.

The evening has been planned with melodious songs by 'Golden Voice of Konkani' Rony D’Cunha alongside his wife Jasmine D'Cunha, winner of Gulf Voice of Mangalore 2014 Morvine Quadras and budding child singer Sarah Lobo. To entertain the audience further, many scintillating dances will be performed by KWAK kids, 'Desi Strikers' popularly known for their theme dances, and 'Dancing Angels' a group of talented dancers.

The highlight of the programme will be a Konkani comedy drama 'Maka Nangi' written by well - known playwright Pradeep Barboza, Paladka and directed by KWAK member Edward Dsouza, Kanajar, which will be staged by KWAK artistes and other local artistes.

Fr Alexander Lewis, parish priest of Our Lady of Lourdes, Kanajar will grace the occasion.

The proceeds of the event after deducting minimal expenses for the programme, will be donated to 'Snehalaya Psycho Social Rehabilitation Centre' in Mangaluru and 'Manasa Rehabilitation Centre' in Pamboor.
