Mangalore, Feb 18: A symposium on ‘Whither reforms in banking?’ was organised by Corporation Bank Officers’ Organisation (CBOO) at the CBOO Centre at Kodialbail here on Saturday
Corporation Bank Chairman and Managing Director B Sambamuthry who spoke on the occasion made several references to reforms in the banking sector. He said that the interests of stakeholders need to be considered before bringing about any reforms.
EPW Research Foundation (Mumbai) Director Dr S L Shetty spoke on ‘Perspectives on blueprint on alternative banking policy.’
Syndicate Bank former chairman and managing director Dr N K Thingalaya, Centre of Rural Studies Director Dr Krishna Kothai, economic analyst Dr K K Ammannaya, AIBOC former general secretary Shantha Raju, Mangalore University Economics Department Chairman Prof G V Joshi also participated in the seminar.
