Mangalore, Feb 19: A mobike rider was killed at Haleangadi after the bike he was riding rammed into an electricity pole on Saturday February 17 night.

Prashanth, a resident of Haleangadi was killed while being taken to the hospital after he sustained serious injuries in the accident.  He was going to Haleangadi from Padu Panambur riding his bike on Saturday night. 

However, as he nearing Haleangadi, he lost control over the bike as a result of which his bike rammed into a roadside electricity pole.  He sustained serious injuries on his face, head and legs.  Though he was taken to Padmavathi Hospital at Suratkal by a local, he breathed his last on the way.

Mulki police have registered a case in this regard.
