Mangalore, Feb 19: 
The valedictory of decennial celebrations of Catholic Sabha, Kinnigoli unit was held in the Kinnigoli Church Hall here on Sunday February 18.

Fr Stany Tauro, director of Fr Muller Homoeopathy College and Hospital, Andrew Noronha, president of Catholic Sabha, Sushil Noronha former president of Catholic Sabha, Kinnigoli zone, Shaila Sequeira, ZP member, Patrick Rodrigues, vicar and spiritual director of Catholic Sabha Kinnigoli unit were the chief guests on the occasion.
 
On this occasion seven parishioners who have contributed their service to the society were honoured. Fr Valerian Mendonca (music), Sr Lilian (medicine), Dr Clement Coutinho (rural medicine), Ligoure Lobo(literature) Shaila Sequeira(politics), Joyer Noronha(youth motivation) were honoured by the chief guests.

Past presidents who served the unit and deanery were also honoured. Decennial year souvenir was released under the editorship of Valerian Sequeira. Prizes were distributed for elocutions competition winners.

In his speech Fr Stany Tauro praised the work of Catholic Sabha and urged the people to take advantage of the resources available in our country instead of migrating to foreign countries.
 
Robert Fernandes, president of Catholic Sabha, Kinnigoli unit welcomed the guest. Hilda D'Souza gave vote of thanks, Ivy Aranha, secretary Catholic Sabha Kinnigoli unit presented the report.  Mabel D'Souza compered the programme.
