Mangalore, Feb 20: A workshop on `Cyber Law awareness' was held on Monday February 19 at SDM Law College.
Cyber College Chennai director Na Vijayashankar who inaugurated the event said that an IT boom in Mangalore would require ensuring that its information assets should be safe.
Vijayashankar also said that the police need to be equipped with aspects of Cyber law so that cyber crimes can be curbed.
“Cyber is partly technical and also deals with law. Thus not only the lawyers inevitably need to learn cyber laws but also technical persons.
