Mumbai, May 11: Prestigious Bharath cooperative bank in Mumbai, has entered into agreements with New India Assurance Company and Life Insurance Company of India with regard to Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bhima Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyothi Bhima Yojana. The agreements were signed at the administrative office of the bank on
May 8.

Chandrashekar R Mulki, Chief Executive officer of Bharath Bank and Sujatha A Badavadge and Ravindra Poojary, senior officials of the Insurance companies exchanged the copies of the agreements. C R Mulki, CEO of the bank, speaking on the occasion said that the bank is glad to implement the scheme of financial security to its customers.

Sujatha A Badavadge of New India Assurance company expressed his wish that the business of Bharath Bank may increase while helping the poor and the downtrodden.

Savings bank account holders from 18 to 70 years of age are entitled to accident insurance upto Rs 2 lacs for an annual premium of Rs 12 under Pradhan Manthri Suraksha Vima Yojana. Savings account customers between 18 and 50 years of age can avail of insurance of Rs two lacs for an annual premium of Rs 330 under Pradan Manthri Jeevan Jyothi Vima Yojana.

Bank's managers Shobha Dayanand, Nithyanand D Kotian, senior officers Suresh S Salian, Vivek Shanbhog, Dinesh B Salian, Vidyananda S Karkera, Vishwanatha G Suvarna,
Navin S Bangera, Nithyananda S Kirodian, Janardhan M Poojary, Sunil A Gujaran and Avish Poojary were present.

Bank's development department head and deputy general manager Mohandas Hejmady welcomed and compered the programme.
