New Delhi, May 13 (IANS): Five children from across India living in shelter homes in the national capital have been reunited with their families, Delhi Police said here on Wednesday.
"Five children aged between 11 and 16 years were united recently with their respective families," Joint Commissioner of Police Ravindra Yadav said.
"The children belong to Assam, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh and Delhi," Yadav said.
In addition to five children, Delhi Police has till date reunited 89 children with their families under "Operation Milap", a special drive launched on Dec 18, 2014 by its Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) to unite missing children with their families.
"Our officers would check each and every missing child across various childrens' shelter homes, railway stations and other places. We would undertake all possible efforts to get clues about their parents so that they are reunited with their families," he said.
