Mangalore, Apr 2: The three-day Krishi Mela in Bantwal to be held under the Shree Kshetra Dharmastala Rural Development Project (SKDRDP) is taking shape with a total of 210 stalls being set up at the venue.

The mela will be held between April 4 and 6 and over 3 lac people are expected to visit the convention in the three days, informed Erya Lakshminarayana Alva, president of the organising committee.

Addressing media persons on Sunday, Apr 1, Alva said that the stalls will display agricultural products also home-made products of farmers, SHGs, of Department of Horticulture and Agriculture.

The total land area used for these arrangements is 5.40 lac square feet. Seminars and interaction programmes with elected representatives will be held.

Rural sports contests, cattle show, competitions on folk and handicraft materials will also be included in the three day programme, Alva informed.
