Mangalore, Apr 3:  A yoga workshop for better lifestyle and health was jointly organized by MSW Department of Karavali Collage and Preethi Neethi Trust at ‘Jeevadana’ an exclusive rehabilitation centre for women with HIV at Kaikamba here

The workshop was inaugurated by Karavali College Group founding president S Ganesh Rao. Speaking on the occasion, he said that yoga and other exercises lead to a healthy lifestyle. He regretted commercialization of yoga, and said that the ancient form of exercise should be adopted in its pure from.

Addressing the MSW students, he advised them to draw inspiration from Jeevadana. Senior health inspector, Mangalore City Corporation (MCC) and yoga expert Gopalakrishna Delampady delivered a talk on yoga.

Preethi Neethi Trust Director and former mayor Judith Mascarenhas said that those identified as HIV positive also have the right to live like others. Jeevadana is taking care of those ostracized by the society.

Kiran Delampady, Karavali Collage principal Akshay Kumar and Sr Catherine of Jevadana were also present on the occasion.
