Mangalore, Apr 7: City's prominent businessman and chairman of Kanachur group U K Monu has filed a complaint against his driver Vijayakumar for stealing Rs 2 lac in cash and valuable documents from his car while it was parked near an advocate's office. on April 5, said police sources.
The complainant has said that the driver as instructed had driven him to the advocate's office and was to wait until he returned.
Upon his return the driver was missing as well as the cash amount of Rs 2 lac and some valuable documents which he had left in the car. The said Vijayakumar is absconding, according to the police. A search is on for him, they added.
In the meantime the businessman has published a "Wanted" announcement in the local papers, showing the driver's photograph.
