Mangalore, Apr 7: A local court in Bantwal court has directed the police sub inspector of Vittal police station to conduct a probe into the alleged kidnap and unlawful detention of Hasainar by the Pandeshwar police.

Two weeks earlier, Kantadka resident Hasainar had been detained and taken into custody by the Pandeshwar policemen Dinesh Bekal and Kumar. Husainar had alleged that he was detained in the Pandeshwar station for two days.

Only after signing a cheque for Rs 15,000 he was released, he said in his petition to the court. He has also alleged that an Esteem car belonging to him had been unlawfully seized by the police.
