Beltangady: 150 new ambulances to replace old ones: U T Khadar

Daijiworld Media Network - Beltangady (RJP)

Beltangady, May 24: As many as 150 ambulances which have run more than 5 lac kilometres will be replaced with new ones, revealed health minister U T Khadar. He was referring to 108 emergency government ambulances.

Khadar was speaking in a press meet at block Congress office here on Saturday May 23.

Khadar said whoever has deficiency of platelets will be supplied with it from the government. He said that uniform guidelines exist for the distribution of medicines throughout the state.

"Karnataka government is the only one in the country which conducted the socio-economic survey to identify the downtrodden. As with other communities, Ahinda community was also encouraged to join the mainstream. It was not a favour to any particular community. Let our critics say which community has been ignored. Then we will act," Khadar said.

List of achievements

Khadar asked the voters to vote for the current regime in the GP elections so that development continues in the state. "Anna Bhagya scheme is a model programme to the world. Even Barack Obama could not introduce these types of programmes in the USA. We have allotted lands for the landless. We have given houses for the homeless," Khadar added.

Sand mafia, Shiradi ghat issues

Answering a question on sand mafia, Khadar said that the opposition should appreciate the work done by the present government in the matter of sand mining. "Unlike during their time, we have identified sand blocks and we are allowing sand mining legally. They blankly allowed it when they were in power. We have stopped sand carrying lorries in the Charmadi as it would affect the quality of roads."

Speaking on the state of work on Shiradi Ghat, the minister said, "Shiradi Ghat work has been delayed because of unseasonal rains. Tender for the second phase of work was recently allotted. The work should finish in one-and-a-half months."

What is the point in introducing ambulances without improving medical facilities. Shortage of qualified doctors-No paramedical staff-Trainee nurses in place of qualified/experienced nurses on stipend-No diagnostic facilities-No medicines-No caretakers with heart at Government hospitals. Else, the patient will land in private hospital linked to a medical college where majority of interns struggled to pass 2 but managed a MBBS Seat on the strength of illegal capitation fee will seal everything. Medical reports will be altered, if necessary, and consent will be obtained from the dead if no live relative is standing nearby. Health Minister is a master in pseudo-farming where he do do not have patience to manure at roots of the plant. Beware, if these ambulances show any dereliction of duty, it will be demoted to autorikshaws and will be transferred for rural service not as a punishment but as an internal administrative measure. Got it!!!!!. Misplaced priorities....!

    Sir,
You introduced bike ambulances, middlmen would have made their share in the deal. However, the bikes are of no use now coz there are no riders.

Now, just check with any private hospital, how much they have paid for their super speciality ambulances, and then check how much your department is going to pay for these new ambulances.

The 108 ambulances are recently introduced not even 5 years. why replacing? Someone desperate is pushing this scheme for sure!!

Shankar, once in a way think, use your brains,It is not tha difficult , read his statement, he says Ambulances which have covered more than 5 lakh kms. You are blinded by Jealousy & hatred & hence everything seems to be ascam for you. Here is a Minister who is honest , upright & Proactive & you are jealous of him. (cannot digest the truth). Fact is the B.J.P Govt was never upfront & here is where it hurts you the most. You did not think that Khader Bhai,J.R. Lobo & Ramnath Rai would be so people oriented . Keep on burning ,In Karnataka you all were given a chance & you all simply blew it.It is a bitter pill to swallow .

@ DInesh - I guess i's because Nalin and Sadanand have taken Hindu Vote bank for granted.

They know that even if they don't perform they can simple approach the HIndu community with a Bhagwa Dhwaja and seek votes in the name of religion.

Whereas Lobo and Khader have to depend on all communities to win elections and hence have to work hard & perform to earn votes.

BJP only wins elections by fiery religious speeches and polarizing Hindus in the name of religion, when it comes to performance...we all know what is happening since 1 year.

Nalin & 'Smile'anand Gowda are by far the worst MP's in teh history of Mangalore-Udupi.

@Hussain Dubai, But what to do with the group from his own community who are trying to malign his name always. During the last assembly election they tried hard to defeat him by fielding 7 muslim candidates against him and failed. They are still active and talking about to defeat him in next election. I have seen some protests against something and some so called muslim leaders using most of the time of their speech to criticize UT Khader instead of addressing the real issue.
