Mangalore, Apr 18: Karnataka Dalit Sangharsha Samiti (Ambedkar Ideology) observed Ambedkar Jayanti in the city as 'Swabhimani Sangharsha Dina" on Wednesday April 18. The programme was held in the Town Hall on Wednesday morning.
The programme was inaugurated by Mavalli Shankar, state convener of DSS (Ambedkar Ideology) while S P Anand, district DSS convener presided over.
Mayor Vijaya Arun, deputy commissioner Maheshwar Rao, state DSS organizing convener T Vijay Kumar, Kolar, MCC standing committee for public health, education and social justice president Mahabal Marla and DSS Mysore division convener were the chief guests on the occasion.
District organizing convener Mahalinga K delivered the introductory note while Kiran Kumar proposed the vote of thanks. Rajaram T compered the programme.
