Udupi, Apr 20: The Bunts community of the coastal region has spread its wings across the globe and it is time that the history of the community is rewritten.

The World Bunts’ Organisation has been involved in this activity for some time. In a press release issued here it has urged individuals and organisations to come forward and contribute whatever material they had regarding the history of the community.

The release stated that the materials which may be CDs, palm leaf manuscripts, other written or printed material, cassettes, photographs etc would be returned to the owner and the same would be mentioned as acknowledgment in the books to be published.

A write-up on information regarding Bunts personalities, families or history is also welcome, the release stated.

The project is being undertaken under the auspices of Rashtrakavi Govinda Pai Samshodana Kendra, an ancillary unit of MGM College here, where contributions may be sent.
